Beetle in the family Staphylinidae 7 mm long. Introduced to Québec. Lives on the tundra. Feeds on dead animals and a living host, at its expense.

There are 2 observations of Shortened Minute Rove Beetle in Québec, mostly in Montérégie and Montréal, and it has been reported in 2 of the 17 regions.
