Fly in the family Syrphidae. Feeds on nectar.
There are 14 observations of Bare-winged Aphideater in Québec, mostly in Montréal, Estrie and Outaouais, and it has been reported in 7 of the 17 regions. They peak from July to September and become rare from October to April.
