Fly in the family Syrphidae 11.6–15.2 mm long.
There are 47 observations of White-spotted Pond Fly in Québec, mostly in Outaouais, Côte-Nord and Mauricie, and it has been reported in 11 of the 17 regions. They peak in June and July and become rare from September to May.
