Beetle in the family Curculionidae 1.3–1.8 mm long. Introduced to Québec. Lives in conifers. Feeds on plants.

There are 4 observations of Black Stem Borer in Québec, mostly in Estrie and Capitale-Nationale, and it has been reported in 2 of the 17 regions.
