Fly in the family Syrphidae 8.2–11.3 mm long.

There are 6 observations of Four-spotted Leafwalker in Québec, mostly in Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Côte-Nord, and it has been reported in 2 of the 17 regions.
