Liverwort 5 cm long. Grows in forests and in thickets.

There are 67 observations of Kunze's Pawwort in Québec, mostly in Nord-du-Québec, Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Capitale-Nationale, and it has been reported in 5 of the 17 regions.
