Fungus with a cap up to 6 cm. Grows near water and in forests. Spore print white. Lives in symbiosis with tree roots: the fungus brings water and minerals, the tree feeds it sugars.
There are 2 observations of Fragile Amanita in Québec, mostly in Nord-du-Québec, and it has been reported in 1 of the 17 regions.
