Lichen crust-forming. Grows in conifers and in forests.
There are 178 observations of Pink Earth Lichen in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Estrie, and it has been reported in 13 of the 17 regions. They peak from June to August and become rare from November to April.
