Freckled Dapperling

Fungus with a cap up to 10 cm. Grows in forests and in urban areas. Spore print white. Lives in symbiosis with tree roots: the fungus brings water and minerals, the tree feeds it sugars.

There are 8 observations of Freckled Dapperling in Québec, mostly in Montréal, Montérégie and Laurentides, and it has been reported in 3 of the 17 regions. They peak in September and become rare from November to June.
