Fungus with a cap up to 3 cm. Grows in forests and in marshes.
There are 11 observations of Bog Bell in Québec, mostly in Mauricie, Capitale-Nationale and Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and it has been reported in 7 of the 17 regions. They peak from June to August and become rare from October to May.
