Fungus with a cap of 1–4.5 cm. Grows in forests.
There are 18 observations of Felt Saddle in Québec, mostly in Laurentides, Outaouais and Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and it has been reported in 6 of the 17 regions. They peak in August and become rare from October to May.
