Fungus with a cap of 2.5–7.5 cm. Grows in conifers. Spore print white. Feeds on decaying organic matter. Lives in symbiosis with tree roots: the fungus brings water and minerals, the tree feeds it sugars.
There are 10 observations of Grey Milkcap in Québec, mostly in Côte-Nord, Nord-du-Québec and Montérégie, and it has been reported in 5 of the 17 regions.
