Imperiled in Québec. Fungus. Grows in forests. Spore print white. Feeds on decaying organic matter. Lives in symbiosis with tree roots: the fungus brings water and minerals, the tree feeds it sugars.
There are 6 observations of Half-free Morel in Québec, mostly in Laurentides, Capitale-Nationale and Montérégie, and it has been reported in 4 of the 17 regions.
