Larch Suillus

Assisted identification only. Never eat anything without an expert’s confirmation.
Fungus. Grows in forests and in marshes. Lives in symbiosis with tree roots: the fungus brings water and minerals, the tree feeds it sugars.
There are 28 observations of Larch Suillus in Québec, mostly in Laurentides, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Estrie, and it has been reported in 12 of the 17 regions. They peak in September and become rare from November to July.
