Fungus with a cap up to 10 cm. Grows in conifers and in forests.
There are 25 observations of Yellow Tricholoma in Québec, mostly in Estrie, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Laurentides, and it has been reported in 8 of the 17 regions. They peak in August and September and become rare from November to July.
