Fungus with a cap up to 8 cm. Grows in forests and in conifers. Spore print white. Feeds on decaying organic matter.
There are 29 observations of Decorated Mop in Québec, mostly in Laurentides, Capitale-Nationale and Outaouais, and it has been reported in 8 of the 17 regions. They peak in August and become rare from November to May.
