Fungus with a cap of 3.5–9 cm. Grows in forests.
There are 21 observations of Spotted bolete in Québec, mostly in Laurentides, Montérégie and Estrie, and it has been reported in 8 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from October to June.
