Perennial herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows on the coast.

There are 257 observations of Oldwoman in Québec, mostly in Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Côte-Nord and Bas-Saint-Laurent, and it has been reported in 9 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from November to May.
