Annual herbaceous plant. Grows on the coast and in marshes.

There are 255 observations of Triangle orache in Québec, mostly in Côte-Nord, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Capitale-Nationale, and it has been reported in 11 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from November to May.
