Annual herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields and on the coast. Flowers from June to September.

There are 51 observations of Branched centaury in Québec, mostly in Montérégie, Estrie and Montréal, and it has been reported in 11 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and become rare from October to June.
