Annual herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in urban areas. Flowers from June to July.

There are 3 observations of Doubtful knight's-spur in Québec, mostly in Montérégie and Capitale-Nationale, and it has been reported in 2 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from October to June.
