Eastern purple coneflower

Perennial herbaceous plant reaching 37 cm. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields and in forests. Purple flowers, from July to September.

There are 70 observations of Eastern purple coneflower in Québec, mostly in Montérégie, Laurentides and Montréal, and it has been reported in 12 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from October to May.
