Perennial herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in forests and in urban areas. Flowers from June to September.

There are 2,370 observations of Broadleaf helleborine in Québec, mostly in Estrie, Capitale-Nationale and Montérégie, and it has been reported in 16 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from November to May.
