Perennial herbaceous plant reaching 30 cm. Grows in forests and near water.
There are 4,166 observations of Dogtooth violet in Québec, mostly in Montréal, Estrie and Outaouais, and it has been reported in 16 of the 17 regions. They peak in April and May.
