Perennial herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in thickets and near water.

There are 74 observations of Vervain mallow in Québec, mostly in Estrie, Laurentides and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, and it has been reported in 11 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and become rare from October to May.
