Perennial herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields and on the tundra. Flowers from June to October.

There are 1,245 observations of Meadow buttercup in Québec, mostly in Estrie, Côte-Nord and Montérégie, and it has been reported in every region. They peak in June and become rare from October to April.
