European black currant

Perennial shrub. Introduced to Québec. Grows in forests and in fields. Flowers from April to May.

There are 78 observations of European black currant in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Montérégie and Montréal, and it has been reported in 12 of the 17 regions. They peak in May and August and become rare from October to March.
