Annual herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields. Flowers from April to September.

There are 44 observations of Johnny-jump-up in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Chaudière-Appalaches and Bas-Saint-Laurent, and it has been reported in 7 of the 17 regions. They peak in June and July and become rare from October to April.
