Bird 80–94 cm long. Present mostly in winter. Lives in fields and in marshes. The male and the female do not look alike. That is often what explains two very different birds in photos of the same species.
There are 39 observations of Swan Goose in Québec, mostly in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Estrie and Chaudière-Appalaches, and it has been reported in 11 of the 17 regions.
