Bird weighing 1.3 kg. Migratory. Lives on the coast. Feeds on aquatic prey — fish, crustaceans, molluscs. Forages in flight. The male and the female do not look alike. That is often what explains two very different birds in photos of the same species.
There are 4 observations of Brown Booby in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Chaudière-Appalaches and Bas-Saint-Laurent, and it has been reported in 3 of the 17 regions.
