Gallinipper

Fly in the family Culicidae. Lives in fields and in forests. Feeds on insects.

There are 10 observations of Gallinipper in Québec, mostly in Montérégie, Montréal and Capitale-Nationale, and it has been reported in 5 of the 17 regions. They peak in August and become rare from October to May.
