Vulnerable in Québec. Mammal 2–3 m long. Active day and night and hibernating. Lives in fields and on the tundra. Feeds on animal prey. Forages on the ground. The male and the female do not look alike. That is often what explains two very different birds in photos of the same species.
There are 9 observations of Polar Bear in Québec, mostly in Nord-du-Québec, and it has been reported in 1 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and become rare from September to May.
