Fungus with a cap up to 5 cm. Grows in conifers and in forests.
There are 18 observations of Small Scaly Clitocybe in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Côte-Nord and Laurentides, and it has been reported in 7 of the 17 regions. They peak in June and become rare from November to May.
