Fungus with a cap of 4–10 cm. Grows in forests. Spore print white. Feeds on decaying organic matter.
There are 11 observations of Common Funnel in Québec, mostly in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Outaouais and Laurentides, and it has been reported in 6 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from November to June.
