Fungus. Grows near water and in forests.
There are 26 observations of Mapledust Lichen in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Outaouais and Lanaudière, and it has been reported in 11 of the 17 regions. They peak in August and September, but it is reported every month.
