Annual herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields. Flowers from April to December.

There are 250 observations of Sun spurge in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Montérégie and Montréal, and it has been reported in 13 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from November to May.
