Perennial herbaceous plant 200–300 cm long. Introduced to Québec and invasive. Grows near water and on the tundra.

There are 612 observations of Eurasian water-milfoil in Québec, mostly in Laurentides, Outaouais and Estrie, and it has been reported in 14 of the 17 regions. They peak in August and become rare from October to May.
