Imperiled in Québec. Annual herbaceous plant reaching 61 cm. Grows in fields and near water. Yellow flowers, from May to October.

There are 125 observations of Cursed buttercup in Québec, mostly in Montérégie, Montréal and Bas-Saint-Laurent, and it has been reported in 15 of the 17 regions. They peak in May, June and September and become rare from November to March.
