Annual herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields and in mountains. Flowers from May to September.

There are 482 observations of Rabbitfoot clover in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Chaudière-Appalaches, and it has been reported in 15 of the 17 regions. They peak in July and August and become rare from November to June.
