Annual herbaceous plant reaching 61 cm. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields and near water. White flowers, from July to August.

There are 709 observations of Alsike clover in Québec, mostly in Côte-Nord, Montérégie and Montréal, and it has been reported in every region. They peak in June and July and become rare from October to May.
