Herbaceous plant reaching 1–3 m. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields and in mountains. Flowers from June to September.

There are 1,644 observations of White melilot in Québec, mostly in Montréal, Estrie and Montérégie, and it has been reported in every region. They peak in July and become rare from November to May.
