Long-tailed Weasel

Mammal 30–35 cm long. Lives in forests and in thickets. Feeds on animal prey. The male and the female do not look alike. That is often what explains two very different birds in photos of the same species.

There are 28 observations of Long-tailed Weasel in Québec, mostly in Estrie, Outaouais and Montérégie, and it has been reported in 8 of the 17 regions. They peak in January.
