Fungus with a cap of 4–10 cm. Grows in fields and in urban areas. Spore print brown. Feeds on decaying organic matter.
There are 14 observations of Field Mushroom in Québec, mostly in Montérégie, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Estrie, and it has been reported in 7 of the 17 regions. They peak in September and become rare from November to May.
