Herbaceous plant reaching 1.8 m. Introduced to Québec. Grows in fields. Yellow flowers, from June to October.

There are 282 observations of Field melilot in Québec, mostly in Montréal, Montérégie and Capitale-Nationale, and it has been reported in every region. They peak in June and July and become rare from November to May.
