Annual herbaceous plant reaching 9 cm. Introduced to Québec. Grows on the tundra. Yellow flowers, from January to December.

There are 144 observations of Annual bluegrass in Québec, mostly in Capitale-Nationale, Chaudière-Appalaches and Montérégie, and it has been reported in 16 of the 17 regions. They peak in June and August and become rare from November to March.
