Toxic. Perennial herbaceous plant. Introduced to Québec. Grows in urban areas. Flowers in June.

There are 16 observations of Garden rhubarb in Québec, mostly in Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Montérégie and Bas-Saint-Laurent, and it has been reported in 7 of the 17 regions. They peak from May to July and become rare from September to March.
