Red Fox

Mammal 63 cm long. Active day and night. Lives in urban areas and in forests. Feeds on animal prey. Forages on the ground. The male and the female do not look alike. That is often what explains two very different birds in photos of the same species.

There are 1,685 observations of Red Fox in Québec, mostly in Montréal, Outaouais and Montérégie, and it has been reported in every region. They peak in May and July, but it is reported every month.
