Vulnerable in Québec. Bird 66–90 cm long. Partially migratory. Lives in mountains and on the tundra. Feeds on animal prey. Forages in flight. The male and the female do not look alike. That is often what explains two very different birds in photos of the same species.
There are 2,684 observations of Golden Eagle in Québec, mostly in Outaouais, Montérégie and Bas-Saint-Laurent, and it has been reported in every region. They peak in March, but it is reported every month.
